Personal Brand Photography Edmonton

A few months ago I held an Instagram giveaway for a one hour branding photography session. And Brandie was the winner! I was quite happy, as I’ve never photographed someone who makes handmade items. What a treat it was!

Brandie is the beauty, brains, and talent behind Candidly Handcrafted. She is a crochet artist local to the Edmonton area. She creates unique handmade items that unite everyday functionality with on-trend fashion. When we were planning her photoshoot, Brandie mentioned that she wasn’t really a lover of our cold winters. So she came up with an idea to make them a bit more bearable – and more fashionable!

Brandie had some images previously done outside during winter, and this time she wanted to do something a little different. She was looking for a more urban and industrial feel. Maybe a parkade. As soon as she said that I knew of a great spot at the UofA. It has beautiful natural light, and that clean grey background. I showed her and she agreed – perfection!

To say that I was in love with her mustard yellow scarf is an understatement. I had to feel how soft it was and it did NOT disappoint!

The scarf she is wearing in the images is called the Infinity Scarf. It is extremely versatile – I just might have to get one for myself!

Fun fact: a week or two before this photoshoot it was SO COLD in Edmonton! All of our fingers and toes were crossed that the weather would warm up. Thankfully it did!
