Brand Photography Success Story

Meet Rickilee Walls, a fabulous entrepreneur who’s been with me for the past three years. Her journey is a perfect example of a brand photography success story and how the Full Year Brand Photoshoots are ideal for changing and evolving businesses.

When Rickilee and I first started working together, she had just moved to Edmonton and was the owner and founder of a copywriting company called The Copy Collective. She specialized in writing sales copy for spiritual entrepreneurs and thought leaders and mentored entrepreneurs on unlocking their voice and writing their own copy that sells.

Our first photoshoot was what you might typically expect from brand photos—working at a desk, showcasing some of the things Rickilee loves, like the spiritual aspects of her life that mirrored those of her clients.

As the year went on, it became clear to me that Rickilee has a passion for the outdoors, and that quickly became the backdrop for several of her photoshoots.

One of the most memorable moments was photographing Rickilee through her pregnancy and her journey into motherhood.

It was during her maternity leave that she realized she wanted to pivot her business as she was using herbs to support her during and after pregnancy.

Today, Rickilee runs Plant Stack, a monthly customized herbal supplement subscription for high performers.
(I could write a book about the many talents of Rickilee, but I’m trying to keep this short!)

Okay, so all of that being shared, Rickilee is a great example of how Full Year Brand Photoshoots can give you permission to change your passions or your visuals for your brand.

 

It’s okay to evolve, and having fresh photos to reflect those changes is essential.

 

And if the thought of being photographed for a long time is worse than a root canal, Rickilee is proof that shorter sessions can be just as effective.

 

She has this uncanny internal clock that tells her exactly when her hour photoshoot is up, and she’s just done! 😉 But she knows the importance of having fresh, on-brand images, especially with her business changing.
